Step 1

Safe Families for Children National Online Application

This brief online form gathers basic information and 3 personal references.

Only one per household please. 

Step 2

Home Study Survey Prep Packet

Only for homes interested in becoming Host Families. This step needs to be filled out by every member of the household 18 years old and older. 

Step 2.5 

​Background Checks

These two pdfs needs to be filled out and turned in to Beacon Hill. They need to be completed by every member of the household 16 years and older. Additional forms and fingerprinting may be needed due to time spent outside of Alaska and other factors.

Online Training

Online Training is provided for each Safe Families Volunteer role. 

Step 4 

Home Study

Only for homes interested in becoming Host Families. Family Coach Supervisors will perform a home certification before children are placed in your home.
