WHAT IS FAMILY CONTACT AND WHY DOES IT MATTER?
Family Contact is when kids in foster care spend time with their family. The Mat-Su Family Support Center provides a warm, friendly, home-like setting with a fully stocked kitchen, toys, and playground for natural family activities.
Family Contact matters because it maintains family relationships, reduces trauma to kids in foster care, strengthens families and build resiliency, and increases reunification.
